Apple Crisp from xmaryrickx
8 tart crisp apples peeled and sliced
1/4 cup of water
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of flour
6 tbsps of butter
Put sliced apples in a casserole dish (i use a 9″ pie plate or a 9×9 baking dish). Mix together water and cinnamon and pour it over the apples. Blend the rest of the ingredients together until crumbly (i use a pastry blender). Pour on top of apples. Bake in a hot oven (I bake at 400*) uncovered, for about 1 hour or until hot and bubbly.
Normally I will use 8 large apples or 10-12 smaller ones and use a large casserole dish (9x13ish) and then double the topping recipe. I also cut up two extra tbsp of butter and dot the top of it before baking.
